Kestrel with Vole

This is one of those 'right place, right time shots'. We were
out in the country side looking for Hawks and Owls. This was
the first time I got close enough to a Kestrel to capture a
image.

Superb image. I was down by the Red River today and there were 2 geese that must be injured and a pair of crows working busily extracting something from under the snow which I can only surmise was another goose that had died from the amount of feathers scattered around. Not the time of year to be hanging around Winnipeg if you are a goose.

Kudos to you for capturing a great shot of the Kestrel and kudos to the Kestrel for capturing the mouse.

Thanks Jan for commenting. Every winter there are birds in the park
that can`t make the trip south. It`s sad but that`s the life of
fragile birds.
Thank you Gerry. I wish all the PC photographers a safe and healthy
2021.
