Heron in Flight

Rapids Park.
I set my camera on Auto ISO, wide open at F5.6 with my TC
for fast moving birds. The Heron was sitting on a branch of
a tree. After taking a few pics of him on the branch. I
lowered my ISO to 100 iso, 1/320 sec to get better
resolution. He decides to take off, I shot with the setting
I had on the camera and was surprised it was in focus with a
good exposure.

clear and sharp with the heron standing out strongly set against the water

I really like where you captured a small part of the herons wing
touching the water. Nicely done.

Thank you for commenting Jan.
I like the wing touching the water, I kept the image because of that.

Thanks Sandi and Jeff. Sometimes I think I'm being lazy putting it on
auto iso most of the time. I shoot small birds and I need the speed. I
like the look of a 100 iso pic.
