The Great Blue Heron really stands out against the background water and foliage creating a strong sense of depth in the image. Wonderful detailing and strong color visually completes the picture, for me.

Seems you were able to get really close to the heron, unless you had a very long lens for shooting. Good details and colors. What lens did you used?;-)

Sandi, it's a 150-600mm Tamron lens on a Nikon D800 camera on a
tripod. I used Topaz for processing. That program has an excellent
sharpening tool called AI Clear.
