Truly eye catching image of the male cardinal with the contrast between the vivid red of the plumage and the background serving to make the bird visually "pop" right into one's lap. You really seem to have his attention.

Ah, the rare Red Scarlet Northern Deniro..... The falling snow
flakes even seem to add a hint of motion to this image. Nice.

Thanks all for commenting.
Yes Sandy the Chickadees were hanging out with the Cardinals.
The snow picked up after this and had to cut it short.
Need to get some snow shoes, to maneuver easier in the woods.
I'll be 69 yrs old in a few weeks, staying active is my remedy for
boredom. Also keeps my arthritis pain away.
You know you're getting old when someone on the city bus offers their
seat to you. I declined.
