Nearly as smooth as glass feel to the Red River brought some interesting reflections to the fore for me.

This is the spire of the Esplanade Riel Bridge and for me there was a sense of a plunging rocket propelling downward through the water.

I initially tried this image in color but the patterning along the Red River was not apparent as is the case with a b&w image.

Mirror Cloaking by: University of Manitoba

Using the concept of one-way mirrors and polished stainless steel panels to create a mirror box, skaters would perceive the warming hut as part of the winter landscape, yet closer inspection will find that the hut appeared to reflect the surrounding. As skaters walked into the hut they realized that the one-way mirrors provide the precious scenery of winter.
