LOve the OP !! The detail, colors and strangeness of some of those
buildings. And the Faders create a fantastic balance. The OP is a
Classic !! And I like the night shot as well. LOve the lowere lights
and reflections. The viewing chairs by the rails helps to add some
true human warmth (life) to the image. And I LOve the greenish tone I
am getting from the walk way that works wonders with the sky. A great
composition. EXcellent images they are both !!

I like the contrast between your two images opening with the sense of a memory of a shared experience in the urban environment. The brick work walkway works to lead the viewer through the image to the distant highrises and then back again to the shadowy figures. The second image is more sterile in feel devoid of the shadowy human figures in the first picture... the walkway still leads the viewer deep into the urban setting but there is no feeling of being drawn back to the foreground as was the case with the opening picture. I do find the street lamp on the left in the second image at little overpowering set against the darkened night time setting.

These are both great! The OP tells quite a story. Well done!

I've never been the Jersey side of the Hudson. Wonderful symbolism here.

Missed these....like 'em both.....Adding the "spirits" to the O.P. ,
invites a imaginative narrative.
