I do like the painterly feel of your New England farmstand composition especially with the image set against a black background.

I don't usually care for special effects but in this case it works very well in a poster like
way. R

Yes, ....a poster, exactly. I like the effect as well, but

Yes, a poster-effect exactly. I like the effect as well,
but couldn't define it until I read Jeff's comment.

"The Effect" works really well when it works and here it works really well!

Very nice indeed. What is the 'Effect'?;-)

There is no such thing as THE Effect, Sandy. It is just another iPhone app. There are so
many. The trick is to use them to your own advantage. Don't just push a button, but
fiddle with it and use it differently than it was intended for. I did the same thing with film
and developing prints in the darkroom.
Dare to be different and all that.
Just do it. It cannot be taught!

Another effective and interesting effect. I wonder if there is anything like this for Android phones.

Thanks again for your friendly comments!

Ruth, obviously, I find my apps on iPhone/Apple sites. There must be sites like that for
Android. Just Google it and try out all the photo apps which look interesting. I am cheap,
I only try the free ones first and throw out the bad ones. I never pay more than $3,
especially if they have in-app purchases.
: )
I am biased, but it appears to me that all the cool photo apps are iPhone only. Too bad!
: ( I feel for you. Maybe switch?
