The billowing smoke adds an interesting BG.

Lovely tones, the D800 has a great sensor. I really like the colors here, shades of Kodachrome.

Nice work, Michael!! You sure this isn't one of your crows, crossed over into human form ? Crows up here in Canada are always sitting on fences smoking cigaretts.

Thanks Art. Thanks Rich. Thanks GB.

This fellow stands on a boat going through the Ballard Locks in winter. But no, if he had a crow background, he'd be more busier and his eyes would glint.

I seem to remember crows in some old cartoons that smoked. They were the tough, gangster guys and had huge beaks. I didn't know until now that they were patterned after those you have in Canada, Gregg. Boy, would I like to get some pics of them!

Nice photo; interesting subject. Neat processing.

Maybe these crows from the Disney Dumbo movie?

Thanks, Johnny, for the neat picture. I recall in the short cartoons the crows having very small bodies compared to their heads and beaks, but the cigar-smoking crow was an inspired idea.

Well captured portrait of a rough and tough looking guy. I'd clone out the gray on top.
