I like this image set against a black background which both complements the reflective colors of the water and enhances the solitary mallard. The space to the left works to lead the duck through the image while the reflective colors works to bring painterly feel to your image.

Another good find, Dennis. I'm thinking the scene is too bright. Notice Pietro's offering where there are no hot spots and everything is blended to a harmonious whole. Monet probably would have had trouble doing that with a camera!

Dreamy color painting cast.At the top, the colors are running back making it more looking like a glass.

I'd probably darken and boost the contrast a bit on the background and
dig some more detail out of the duck and possibly brighten it depending
on how the background turned out.
