Taken a few weeks ago. Now they have caps of snow.

I like the manner in which the yellow of the sunflower showed through to serve as balance with the more muted colors of the fall foliage and the whiteness of the snow. The city had planted a small patch of sunflowers a couple of years ago and the first winter they produced images such as this and I was hoping for some more shots this winter but the city cut all the plants down long before the snow fell in Winnipeg.

The few frosty fingers of gold famously foretell the final fall of the failing flower in Linda's winter wonderland.

This is nice with all that white background !! and the yellow & orange, in that one corner area.

Rather a busy picture, but delightful anyway - especially the sad downward-looking yellow petals.

Beautiful too, love both of these. Not busy for me because I like the way how they "climb" across the framing from left to right.
