It would have been interesting to have had a telephoto lens to see how a closeup would have brought out more detailing of the insects and the nest that they are building. Comments by Alias on Fri, 06/17/11 10:48 Those are "Yellow Jacket" wasps. Tiny but very potent and very territorial. They are not nearly as docile and peaceful as bees. Their sting is very painful and not unlikely near their nest. Be very careful not to touch "their" plant as vibration will set them off.
