Spring Storm over Yosemite Valley

Taken in the Spring of 2009 with my 5D mkII and Zeiss 35-70 lens. I was quite taken with the building cumulous clouds over the waterfall.

As a flatlander from the Canadian Prairies I'm always taken by these views... majestic is the adjective that comes to mind. I like the interplay of shadow and sunlight, the quality of the cloud formation which works to extend the rugged nature of the mountains into the sky, and the complementary vertical lines of the rock formation, the trees and the waterfall.
