A film noir feel to the composition with the slightly open barred gate giving a somewhat ominous feel to the setting... I like the complementary feel created between the shadows of the bars and the actual bars and the interplay of light and shadows both of which work to heighten that mentioned ominous feel.

It's quite different but at the same time interesting with the play of lights and the gate opening abit to let you see the pumpkins and inviting you to go in. Very good.

"film noir feel" as Jan says.
Complex but rational.
The pumpkins are incongruous forms but very at home in this composition.

I like it as posted, and this is not a suggestion,
only a comment,
but this part alone is worthy:

Agree with Ernest. A little ominous feel too, despite the open gate. Love the graphic look.

don't get the barred title since the door is open, but take away the title and it's an excellent photo, good thing the site isn't writtingcritique.net :)

good job

"good thing the site isn't writtingcritique.net :) "

Hmmm, does this sound familiar ?
"Unfortunately most people aren't capably of taking shots that do justice to the moment."

Ah, but among the various nannies and grannies
we do have a "Spelling granny, nanny" ! ;-)

But you are right it is PHOTOcritique,
so where's your PHOTO ?
