In the clouds

I was trying to capture the contrast between the fragility of the parasail and the scale and ruggedness of the mountains.

A real sense of vastness created between the fragile form of the parasail and the rugged nature of the mountains... Any idea how high that the individual on the parasail might be?

Jan, thanks for the comment, that's exactly what I was trying to do. I would guess the parasail was perhaps 500 meters above the valley floor.

The combination of the angry clouds and the rugged snow-capped mountains certainly emphasize the frailness of the parasail. So you've certainly achieved your objective in this photo. I've parasailed (above water) in Mexico and that was exhilarating enough. I can't imagine landing in this cold and rugged terrain.

Great indeed, John... :)

@Kara and Pietro - thank you.

@Kara - the photo is a little misleading - I was shooting from the valley floor, and the parasail was well below the snowline!
