Once again the contrast between the bluejay and the muted green background works to make the bird stand out strongly in the image. The lighting highlighting the blue upper plumage, the catchlight in the eye, and the detailing on the plumage all make for a striking image of the bluejay. The pose makes one think that the bluejay just spotted you and is ready to take flight...

great job catching it like that, only suggestion for improvement would be a branch along the
feeder so you could crop the feeder itself out
