One year ago today she died peacefully in her home.

"She was born in New Orleans, La., August 17, 1913. She worked as a medical laboratory
technician at Tulane Medical School. It was there that she met her husband, the late Dr.
William W. Trice Jr., Tampa' s first hematologist and for whom the original oncology center
at Tampa General Hospital was named. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was an avid
gardener and a longtime member of the Davis Islands Garden Club. Rosemary "Rosie"
"Gram" will be remembered for her unselfish devotion to her husband, children,
grandchildren and the countless friends who entered her home. True to her Louisiana
roots, she was an excellent cook, well-known for her world class gumbo. She was
preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Freeze; and daughter-in-law, Laura Trice. She
leaves behind five children, William A. Trice, M.D., and wife, Barbara, of Ocala, Fla.,
Stephen E. Trice IV and wife, Tonja, of Tampa, Nancy T. Jordan and husband, Michael, of
Tampa, Thomas M. Trice of Tampa, and Mary "Pokey" Abbott and husband, Craig, of Ocala;
10 grand-children; and four great-grand-children. Whenever asked about how she was
doing, her favorite reply was, "I' m still here!" She will always remain in the hearts of those
who love her as "still here."

Very touching and thank you for sharing these pictures and your comments. One line that struck me was "...she died peacefully in her home...". We should all be so fortunate.

She must have been a wonderful person to inspire such a tribute, Donald. I'm happy to hear her last moments were in her own home. She was a beautiful lady. You have my sympathy.

Wonderful portrait, looks like you took the OP in the car, on the way to see a sunset I expect. Great images to share with her grandchildren. My condolences.
