Potential here, but at present it's rather 'murky' and maybe a tweak in Curves would lift it - especially the water.

I tend to agree with John about this one. More contrast, or may be a different B&W conversion...

Trying to photograph these birds this morning... such a sense of Spring with their presence in our part of the world... even though the ground is still covered with snow and there are only a few openings in the ice in the river there are Canada geese everywhere... their honking... their V formation as they fly across the sky. I like the reflective quality of the water and your inclusion of the little branches. A little tweak to heighten the presence of the geese.

normally i hate birds photo without action, and something happands. i dont hate this. the lines of the birds are great. great art photo, but miss the same stuff that 99,9% of birds and animals pics have. something have to happand, try to show the personality or something. you dont do that here, but it still a ok picture.

lighting the picture some?

That's me in front, and Marc behind. You caught us well, Julie.

I saw my first geese of the spring yesterday! Two bewildered-looking birds sitting on a bank of snow out in a field of yet more snow.

Here is a color version of it...better? Thanks ya'll for the constructive critiques. As always, I appreciate them so much so I can learn. ;0)

I prefer the b&w version Julie.

Like both photos. Leaning toward the cooler one.
Love the Geese, love the reflections of both Geese and weeds. Has a calming feeling in its simplicity. Great job Julie.
