I'd step out of the way with those two sitting overhead just waiting for my innocent person to walk underneath. A very photogenic bird as always... too bad its mannerisms don't match that photogenic bend.

I think your approach would have been a safe one (hoping that they weren't spooked to fly directly overhead). Looks like a warm and cosy scene.
