The sensation from the perspective is that the next shot will show a shattering shot as the rock meets the camera.

It looks suspended in the air.

I really like this one. I was wondering when you were going to post it. It's my favorite in the series. The reflection of the windows makes it even more sublime.

"Sculpture by Don Gummer, whom I understand is married to Meryl Streep."

This is an important lesson about art - if you want to into museums, one of the best ways to do it is marry someone even more famous than yourself.

Rock music... :-)
I too like how the stones seem to float!

The rock on top seems suspended in air. Lovely colors.

Heard and seen the rolling stones but not a floating one.

In 1972, a paleontologist named a new fossil snail Anomphalus jaggerius, and in 1995, a pair of paleontologists, Adrain & Edgecombe, named a new fossil trilobite genus Aegrotocatellus - the name is Latin for sick puppy - and in this genus they named the species Aegrotocatellus jaggeri after Mick Jagger.

Nice one.

I like your photograph Rick. Love the background. But I am not keen on the type and texture of rocks used by the artist...(not that I am aware what the intent of the piece is)

G.B., There are a couple of essays about Gummer that might (or might not help) in understanding this piece.

les, what you don't learn here on good old PC!

Bradley, "if you want to into museums, one of the best ways to do it is marry someone even more famous than yourself."
A simpler route is to marry someone of fantastic wealth. That way you don't don't have to go through no stinkin' art phase. 8-)

Cool comp - rocks and opposite shadows seem to balance. Love the blue.

Lower rock rocks! Upper rock can float right out of the scene as far as I'm concerned. Just sniping from the sidelines here. ;-)
