New York

Olympus E 500,
I took this picture last october at around 16 PM. Light wasn´t optimal, but the composition seemed atractive to me.
After seeing the final result I ma not so sure about the quality and composition of the scene and would like to hear your opinion: What do you think?

Olympus E 500: 14-45 mm,
Shot at 14 mm, 1/30, f4, 100 ISO

Thank you for your comments

Since I live in a small city I'm always intrigued by pictures from the urban environment. I think if I went to New York I probably would never move out of a position like your perspective in this image since I would be so overwhelmed by the vehicular traffic, the pedestrian flow, the highrise buidlings. I do find the image a little soft (perhaps a faster shutter speed) but at the same time I find the softness brings a painterly feel to the image and I might have been tempted to search out some editing effects that would have enhanced that painterly feel in the picture.

Agree with Jan that focus is a bit soft, however the main problem from my point of view is that it lacks a point of interest or any particular theme.
