It was a little cold -26c or -14 degrees. In between icy gusts it
wasn't too bad.

A different Snowy, a younger one. His pattern is darker.

Snowy Owls are white birds with varying amounts of black or brown
markings on the body and wings. On females this can be quite dense,
giving the bird a salt-and-pepper look. Males tend to be paler and
become whiter as they age. The eyes are yellow.

Windy Day

Great series on the snowy owl caught under such cold conditions. I really like the opening picture with the snowy owl seemingly squinting as it looks in your direction (but then if the owls are anything like people in these cold temperatures squinting becomes the look of the day trying to cope with the cold and blowing snow) and then the closing image in the comment section with the snowy owl looking like a miniature snowman.

Wow, you got some good shots up close. I like the OP the best and the last one is comical looking. You have a good lens. ;-)

Some first-rate shots, again.....O.P. gives impression of being
stared at from just a few feet away.
