Some great shots of the barred owl. The opening shot with the spread of the wings and the positioning of the owl's feet reminded me for some reason of M.C. Hammer dancing in the song U Can't Touch this.

I really like the pose in the first image in the comments with the sense of the owl sneaking up on a prey and the sleepy eyed feel of the second image in the comments. Over arching all the pictures is the sense of texturing from the feathers and the size of those eyes.

Thanks Jan and thank you Bruce. 5 seconds after I took the 2nd pic,
he attacked and flew back in the tree with his prize. I couldn't get
a clear shot, but took it annyway.

A solid image for this series and damn those branches. That mouse never stood a change against this owl with the large eyes.
