Great Blue Heron

The contrast between that of the Great Blue Heron and the background along with the gradual coming into focus from the neck through to the beak of the heron and then slowly going out of focus to the tip of the beak creates the illusion of movement for me with the heron seemingly emerging right out of my computer screen. The eye really stands out and holds one.

That's a great shot. Makes me wonder if this heron is a tame one?;-)

This was taken in Angrignon Park, not a captured bird.
