It's that time of the year, for me, when the first bands of light from the setting sun makes it way to the wall of my apartment and I keep trying to interpret that light differently in some manner that I will remember.
But first I start off with with this image of a slightly out of focus pumpkin stalk and surrounding area at a local Farmer's Market. I just find the result of the effects works to create the illusion of a monster emerging from out of the dark.

DNA light
On March 3, 2019 the light from the setting sun came once again to my apartment after 6 months of setting south of the edge of the front of my apartment block. The weather might be cold and the snow still falling but it felt like Spring was just around the corner with the return of the light from the setting sun.

The OP has eye popping stalagmite feel to it. The 2nd image has an
molten ominous mood. Impressive results from your walk about images
and your pumpkin.

The effect with the out of focus pumpkin reminds me of this line from
Beowulf "... the ravening fiend o'er the bright-paved floor furious ran, while flashed from his eyes an ugly glare like embers aglow ..."
