A recent 1940's event???
In any case, the distinguished gentleman seems well lit and colorful,
even in black and white.

The b&w format works perfectly with the 1940's enactment with the light playing across his features helping to enhance the portrait. The gaze over the top of the glasses reminds me of a teacher I had in high school.

Paul, here in the U.K during the summer months, there are often these "1940's re-enactment" days when people dress in 1940's clothing and uniforms.

I like the expression, the hat, the glasses, and the suit that together portray that time of manners and of the English gentleman. Nice work.

You've captured the real essence of a gentleman.
