Fly away

Fly away
on the wing of a seagull
and drink the light
until you also be the light

I am sorry Maria but this one confuses me.

This image has the feel of a dreamscape for me with the various elements not flowing together in a coherent manner much as what I find my dreams are like. The gull speaks of the freedom of flight, the light draws me into the image with the feeling of following the gull in its flight while the central portion of the image has the sense of a window (or a door) leading into another dimension with the bird seemingly about to descend into that other dimension

I find Maria with many of your recent postings a dreamlike quality that cannot always be explained logically and that is case with dreams for me.

:-) Fly away from a world that is unstable...
Thank you Jan.
I love to make these composites, but I don't sit at the computer and decide "now I'll make a composite about this or that". If I do, it will result awful :-) I just take a photo, put it over another and experiment blending modes until it "talks" to me. I keep experimenting, with different photos, until I "see" a story there. I may then add one or two objects, to reinforce the story that the blend is telling me. Here the added element was the seagull, the shaking ground and the light told me the story. Suppose it may transmit different stories, according to each viewer...
I can't explain you better than this Nathan.

I prefer not to tell the story to my art. I have always felt that it
then places a limitation on the art. I create for for my story and
imagination to meet my creative goals. And hope the image opens new
stories and various stories for each and every viewer. It is the
differences in sight and thought and views with other people that
help to open new views and understandings and learning with each
other. That being said. I do LOve this image, Maria !! Great comp,
colors. Various spaces and depth. LOvely Image !!

Beautiful color and light. It's a wonderful construction -- you do
these so well. Just a nit: I do wonder about the large-ish dark area
on the left. For me, it creates a tad too much weight on that side.
But what do I know? I can't begin to create stuff like this! ;)
