Choir - Manitoba

Normally at the end of November and beginning of December we have a German Christmas in my apartment complex but of course this year with COVID-19 it has been cancelled as have so many other events. The German Christmas is such a time of song, food, gifts and people to meet and greet and I for one missed it.

So I used images from the German Christmases between 2017 and 2019. Some of these images might have passed this way before.

The posted image is of the Hutterite Choir of Manitoba. I took a number of images as the choir sang but I particularly liked this one with the young lady on the right looking skyward as she sang along with the other members of the choir.

this year all this was empty except for a Christmas tree as we can see through the crowd near the top centre... very lonely feel

Jan, Christmas will be different this year for sure. We have noticed more people putting up Christmas decorations weeks earlier than any other year, we even
put up our tree and decorated our apartment 2 weeks earlier than normal. People feel this has to be all in the hope of making us feel better even if it's for a
moment taking our thoughts away from the corona virus which is quickly becoming the "Grinch" that stole Christmas. Your website is a positive distraction to
seeing all the creative photos folks like send in. I especially like your last one with lots of colors and looks like a beautiful Christmas card. Hopefully
we'll have a vaccine ... the sooner the better ... so 2020 will just be a bad dream.

Sharan:

Thank you for viewing and commenting. It is truly appreciated.

I would agree with Gerry's comments that 2020 will just be a bad dream but I have the feeling for a lot of people around the world that will not be an easy thing to do since so many dear souls have passed away far too early.

As I walk around in my City of Winnipeg there is just an empty feeling with so many stores and businesses being closed and so few people out and about.

All non-essential items cannot be sold in Winnipeg currently and that includes so many things we take for granted this time of the year like Christmas cards and Christmas decorations.

Nevertheless I must say all the best in this season.
