Streuber Family Children's Garden Assiniboine Park

A series of images taken during the month of September 2020 The first one was from the Streuber Family Children's Garden in Assiniboine Park. I liked the manner in which the blue elements glowed and were framed by the wooden poles.

The first time I had ever seen the end of the arc of a rainbow that ended on those two cars in the parking lot. I should have followed Steve's advice and used a manual setting to get around the camera in auto trying to focus on the raindrops on my apartment window rather than the rainbow which at one point was so sharp it hurt the eyes and I got just a fading rainbow.

the peacock was just walking along the pathway preening itself as it walked... I never get over the contrast between the colors and form of the peacock's plumage and those enormous feet

The OP with the glowing blue elements stood out for me, surrounding
wooden posts as if protecting them. There is a msg there I think. The
rainbow image is still apparent, enough to jog the memory.
The camera with 'auto' everything, like I have, makes me forget
sometimes I can control the individual aspects of the pic. I have
missed more pics then I care to mention because I forgot I could
manually focus the lens.
The sunset image stands out because of the golden tones.

There is something interesting about all of the images which Steve nicely pointed out.

The sunset is my favorite. The OP...blue glows...strangely alien...;-)

The entrance way to the Precious Blood Church which takes on the form of a stylized tipi arising above one. I wanted to get in to get some pictures of the stained glass windows but in the days of COVID-19 this was not possible.

one last image from September

The Leaf is currently under construction and coming soon to Assiniboine Park.

Canada is a garden of cultures living in harmony and thriving together. The Leaf is a stunning showcase of our diversity, expressed through plants that shape our lives here and across the globe.

The Leaf is the first and only garden attraction in North America to tell Canadians’ cultural stories through the world of plants.
