Journey to Churchill exhibit

I was at the Journey to Churchill exhibit and the crowds of summer have dissipated and so I was there at the polar bear's large pool with only a couple of other people and one polar bear that was going in a circuit of diving, playing with a large blue barrel and watching the seals in the neighbouring pool. I caught the bear as it dived into the water and I like the blurred feel as the bear hit the water.

I didn't like that my normal setting for taking the bears which brought up nothing but a black screen and it was only when I was riding back on transit that I realized that I had reset my shooting menu with my Nikon D7100 a few days past and I had not brought back the various settings to what they had been.

I liked the softness of the bear swimming through the water... a ghost like quality.

Just wonderful images. Each one is special on it's own accord.

I took this image on Monday... might be the same polar bear but then they all look the same to my eye.

It was a gloomy rainy Monday and I didn't have much hope that I would find any polar bears but there were 2 in their big pool with a further 4 wandering out in the great outdoors. This bear was diving, swimming, watching the seal channel (seals in an adjacent pool) and playing with a battered blue barrel. I like this image with its eye contact and those big paws with their claws.

Nice photos, some even take on a ghost like appearance like #2 & #3.
