The mist adds a pleasing moody feel to the image. Reminds me of a long ago trip to Trinidad, California where for a week every day in summer started like this and I loved it. Your bordering creates the sense of the image being ripped right out of the setting and plunked down in PC.

Wow, I think we all would love to be able to visit your secret beach....but I won’t try to
take the secret right out of it by asking where this is...😉
Crystal clear water, the foggy mist in the trees, the dark sharpness of the massive rocks,
and the sense of a summer morning coolness all makes me really long to be there, kick
my sandals off, and just wade and walk this lonely beach to discover even more coastal
pleasures. Great image Paul.

Another outstanding coastal scene. Over the years I’ve been posting and critiquing
there’s a word/term rarely in used and that would be ‘composition‘ as well as relatives of
composition such as ‘leading line/s’. In this scene I don’t think the composition could be
any better and it benefits by the foamy white surf line leading from your feet into the
foggy distance. We all love and covet nice cameras and lenses. I suppose that can
boost confidence but the final result comes from the person that should be thinking
before the click. I think too many just like the sound of the click. It would be interesting
to know how many regular posters over the years have a library, large or small, of
instructional/inspirational photography books or ever take a class or sign up for a
seminar/workshop. I’ve been going through a lot of old photos that I thought at the time
were pretty good (short of great) and the end result has been a heavy wastebasket.
Quite a few could improve their photography by switching from worthless comments
such as “it’s pretty“ to a thoughtful critique. I guess you could call this a pandemic rant.
Anyway, looking forward to more of your coastal photography as long as you stayed in
the central and northern coastal areas.
