Mere Hotel

A series of color and form starting off with the facade of the Mere Hotel in Winnipeg.

Nestled among cobblestone streets, historic buildings and the green space along Waterfront Drive, Mere Hotel boldly displays its style and personality with an exterior of vertical colored pipes that encase the building.

What a strange building with the pipes, Jan. The last post of the stones on the pavement is strange too. Do you know the story behind that?;-)

Strange exterior for a hotel, never mind a building. Wondering if
they served any practical purpose, like cooling the interior. Or
maybe colored pipes was a cheaper alternative than brick and mortar.

The style or architecture has a Danish or Norse influence, without being specific. I like the last photo because of its boldness and simplicity.

The OP and the reveal are especially stunning. Great work, Jan!
