Journey to Churchill exhibit

I was so close to this polar bear that without the glass partition I could have touched the bear... of course that would have been the last thing I would have ever done in this world.

The bear just glanced over its shoulder, saw me and suddenly I momentarily became the focus of its attention

Some days are better than others. Went to the zoo this past Friday and it was maintenance day for the polar bears with their pools being cleaned and the grass cut and then I got this shot.

It was only when I downloaded this image to my computer that I saw that the tiger had its eye on me as I photographed it.

The OP is an eye opener. Your POV eye level with your subject makes
this an intimate portrait. Seems like your were sitting on the floor
to get it. The Tiger shot I would have cropped the object in the TLC.
Do you go at feeding time ?

Those are some of you best photos yet of the polar bears and I agree
with SR about cropping in a bit tighter on the tiger would make for a
better shot.
