The light from the setting sun highlighting face of Half Dome serves to focus the eyes of the viewer. I find a black background works best with this image serving to complement the colors of the landscape and highlighting the detailing of the setting. So this was pretty cool: I was just checking out Jimmy Chin's website when this pops up and I thought, "Hey, that looks familiar!" It looks like he was standing right where I was! The thing is, this was pretty far into the wilderness, not on any kind of trail... In fact it would be a pretty good trick just finding this spot again, even having been there.
