The Memory Keeper

An old abandoned home I discovered on one of my many
country road trips in southern Indiana.
Pleased my artistic self with some after effects.

I really like the painterly feel of your sunset image over the abandoned house and how the available light highlights the abandoned home with the contrast between that of the house and adjacent trees to right and left serve working to enhance the home further. I particularly like this image with a black background.

Maybe it is the isolated location , the time of day ( dawn or
dusk),the lonely colors....that sends a powerful message urging the
passerby to stop..pull over and visit just a while.

It's a very lovely card. I like the special effects you have applied on it. Good work.;-)

It has been a while Julie. Your image jumps from the page with it's
warm tones. The textures in the field all seem to lead to the house.
The highlighted house feels welcoming even though abandoned.

Hard to beat an old farmhouse for a photo. Judging by the house it must have been s
profitable farm until it wasnít. For comparison it would be interesting to see the original
which most likely I would prefer. Your preference takes the lead though.
Compositionally the house is very near dead center. Cropping about half the sky and
moving the house toward the left side works better IMO.
