Journey to Churchill

The last few times visiting the polar bears has found them outside and enjoying the colder temperatures and the snow. On this particular day there were a trio of polar bears outside with two engaged in play fighting while the other bear sat off to the side watching the other two bears.

I liked this particular image with Aurora posing as if saying: "Tell me a story". I know Aurora because she is always dirty while the other bears look cleaner and whiter.

I also found this image interesting because of the 9 polar bears in the Journey to Churchill exhibit only one lived into adulthood outside a zoo and the reason that bear came to the exhibit was because the bear was known as a nuisance bear that had attacked humans in Churchill, Manitoba.

Jan, those are all amazing photos especially the OP. Any time I've been to a nature park, the bears just keep to themselves and
basically lay around and do nothing but sleep. Great captures.

Great images!
Never had a chance to see them so close!

Thank you Mark for viewing and commenting.

I was surprised on the day that I took the three photographs in the comment section just how close the bears were to myself and another photographer to the point where one could look directly down on the bears maybe a couple of feet from where we were standing. And no interest in us but rather simply with each other.

Agree with Bruce - all winners with #1 being in the fantastic range. But you
just seem to have an affinity with bears from Waldo to Aurora - indeed
inspiring stuff.

A tighter shot on the group in the second image in the comment section.
