Valley of Fire

Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada. Excellent campgrounds or a day trip from
Vegas. Thanks for commenting.

An unusual sense of texturing with the foreground patchy rock formation... almost the feel of viewing paper though one that they are looking at rock created by what I assume to be volcanic activity. An interesting accompanying cascading feel created by your perspective. Black background for me.

There's no evidence I've seen that this area was volcanic at one time. Just the
opposite at Snow Canyon where there's plenty of volcanic stone, large and small,
throughout the park. I don't know what causes such a fine line division between stone
color. Probably various forces of nature.
