A cold crisp day this Sunday and I thought I needed a further shot of color so I went to Assiniboine Park Conservatory.

The rotating display area at the Conservatory has been beautifully transformed to give it a Fresh Start just in time for the beginning of a new year!

I liked the softness of the orchid in the opening picture which I tried to further enhance with the following effects.

Nik vignettes: blur
CS5 auto contrast

Nikon D7100
AF Micro Nikkor 60mm
f4.2 1/125 60mm

Taken March 12, 2017.

Well I'll add a couple more images. I like the sense of the stamens seemingly peeping over the edge of the tulip.

I liked the textural feel created by the water droplets on the Anthurium.

I thought like Jeff that Photocritique had died and then I thought that a recent update on Firefox that had limited my access to another online photo site was also effecting Photocritique... maybe Jeff was right in his statement... I hope not.
