Farmer's Shed

Similar to a previous posting,(Tractor Shed) but taken under differnt lighting/sky conditions and with a different camera. I much prefer this version. Thoughts?

I like the quality of the toning that you have given to the image (especially when set against a grey background) which together with the adopted perspective with the Farmer's shed set against the cloudy sky and the contrast between the Farmer's shed and the background works to create the sense that one is looking at some religious structure that hasn't been fully completed. Nicely done!

The sky is great Allen. The building...is the building the main subject, or is the sky. Odd interplay between the two.

I like the toning too.

Incredible detail in the wood grain. Looks like Tri X with a Haaselbald, but is probably a DSRL + Photoshop.

Great tones, subject and sky. Would be even better with perspective correction.

A splendid barn photograph it is!
Rick, I think barns and skies are inseparable (if that is an english word).

It has the look of an old church to me, but brick buildings aren't that common here, especially for farm buildings.

Nice sky.

Can't but agree with all the above. Great - composition, tones, textures... and that sky!

Great sky, good toning adds drama. The shed looks as though its had a new roof!

Allen, how do you get such rich, textured, detailed photos with amazing clouds like that? If
you don't mind, please email me and share some of your secrets. I'd love to be able to
capture simple subjects with such drama and emotion. Thanks, Josiah.
