Rose with greenery

These two roses I posted is not as sharp in the center after I resized the images...what's up with that?

I see two beautiful photos both with great comp. Loving the light here!

Both are beautiful. Though I favor the second as the rose is more prominent and I like the
shallower DOF. Well done.

Great work, Sandi, definitely the 2nd is my choice. The greenery works and so does the shallow dof.

It's usually good to sharpen after resizing. But other parts of your photo look sharp.

Very pretty. Ready for a tea party. I think I like the shallow dof of the second as well.

I agree with all the above. Both are very nice - being the second my preferred too, for the DOF and the overall composition.

I have a preference for the second image also with the red rose standing out strongly in the picture set against the out of focus plates and cups. I found my eyes went immediately to the red rose in the second picture while in the opening image I found my eyes bouncing back and forth between the rose and the cups and plates.

I also prefer the second image for the shallower depth of field. The sharpness looks ok to me. A larger size would be good. :-)
