Two striking images of the Yaquina Bay Bridge. I especially like the opening image with the span leading the eyes of the viewer across the bay, the coloring of the bridge, and the near paintlike feel of the image. There is a camera on the east side of the bridge right behind those two pillars on the right but the view that is provided doesn't hint at the striking beauty of this setting.

excellent compositions on both posts.

that first one is wild. It's nice how the main subject matter, the grand bridge in the foreground, is treated almost as a second thought. And yet how nicely balanced it is with the other bridge and other stuff in the background. Cute little tracks in the sand. Nice otherworldly color. Reminiscent of something I can't put words to.

I would just like to say WOW !....and I don't say that to often. I think I have to talk to you about these ones.

beautiful picture of a beautiful old arch bridge [Newport, Oregon, 1931, design McCullough]...
I like the green paint of the steel structure...
thanks Jan

I'm going to echo GB's Wow! When I first looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was a photo of part of a pier in the foreground and it had a definate cold feel to me. My imediate thought was Siberia and the metal things in the water, looked to me like figgures walking on frozen ice. Then when I opened the photo it had a whole other beauty to it. The greeness and beiges and greys and whites all lock together to make an extraordinarily beautifully soft scene. I just absolutely love it. Deserves yet another Wow.

Lovely light.

It reminds me of something else too, as Karen said. Perhaps a dream.

Nice photos. This is one of McCullough's classics and one that always inspires photographers. I like the first shot in particular, because you shot it from almost the same spot as I chose last time I was there, but you have an entirely different result...

I didn't see the second post before. Great positioning of the camera, with intersting foreground elements that don't interfere with the bridge. A well planned image.

Both are wonderful!

Super. I like the second - the way, how You used the foreground poles without disturbing the architecture photo. Light and colors are 100% perfect.

Best regards
Peter

Both wonderful! Especially over the black BG.
