Very nice, Julie, you have got the depth of field just right so that the truck is sharp while most of the rest is soft. This is a subject matter I like. The branch over the headlight is a good touoh. Monochrome was probably best for this.

Agree with Rory. Well done, Julie.

I like the painterly feel of the composition, the toning working well with a black background, and the illusion that is created by the engine as of a human face looking back at the viewer.

I guess a big factor is to get the truck to stand out against a busy background. The slight blur seems to do quite well. Did you enhance it at all this time? The llc seems a bit too bright and could be burned a little or a lot.
I like the way the truck has integrated itself with the vegetation, so I'd say you would not want to modify too much and destroy that nice effect.

Very nice! I like the effect you achieved here. There is something appealing about old trucks.

Very nice Julie and it works well in B&W. Good PS work.

A great find and well taken.

Seems a little soft up front - are you using a tripod?

Thanks everyone, I am behind again on my responses..sorry. I appreciate all comments very much, though. I used my salt and pepper filter 2x on this (called buzz effect in Paintshop I believe). Then blurred the background a little. I also did a little cloning to clean up the branch. Nope, no tripod. Here is the original.

Effective treatment of the original for a good result.

Rick here is the version with the llc burned. I see what you mean. I hope I did it correctly.

Nicely done, Julie. Your burning looks just right, too.
